01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled in the heart of Taman Anggerik, Cendol Corner Taman Anggerik is a charming family restaurant that beautifully captures the essence of traditional Malaysian dessert and snack delights. Renowned for its comforting local fare, this cozy spot is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic and satisfying flavors in a warm and welcoming environment.

The star of the menu is undoubtedly the cendol pulut, a traditional sweet icy dessert featuring generous portions of glutinous rice (pulut), drizzled with rich gula Melaka syrup and creamy coconut milk. Loyal customer Kevin Lim praises the generous helping of pulut, highlighting the authenticity and heartiness of this beloved dish. Equally loved are the pisang goreng (crispy fried bananas) and cucoq udang (shrimp fritters), which come out perfectly golden and bursting with flavor—delighting the palate with every bite. Don’t miss the refreshing ais kacang, a colorful medley of shaved ice topped with sweet syrups and beans, though some patrons suggest a slightly finer shave for an even more delightful experience.

Stepping into Cendol Corner feels like coming home. The ambiance is relaxed and inviting, with a communal vibe reminiscent of a small town gathering. Mohammad Hafiz Halim shares that filtered water is used in all food and beverages, reflecting the care and quality invested in every dish served. It's also a kid-friendly environment, making it an ideal spot for families to unwind and enjoy a casual meal together.

Azim Fadli’s enthusiastic endorsement of the cendol pulut — “paling sempoiii” — echoes the sentiment of many regulars who appreciate the generous portions and genuine flavors delivered by the owner, affectionately referred to as “pakcik,” whose generosity with ingredients turns every bowl into a heartfelt offering. The laksa too, is praised for its bold and satisfying taste, standing out as another highlight of the menu.

Beyond the food, Cendol Corner’s charm lies in its homegrown atmosphere and friendly service. As Adila Husna puts it, this home-based business radiates positivity and a welcoming spirit that keep locals coming back, while inviting newcomers to experience a small taste of Malaysian culinary heritage.

Whether you’re seeking a cool, refreshing dessert on a hot day or a comforting snack to enjoy with family and friends, Cendol Corner Taman Anggerik promises a genuine, flavorful adventure that leaves you both satisfied and smiling.
